DEVIL'S - ONE DARE - AND ONE IN REAL LIFE

Ok the plan was for a nice little jump off of Lions Head!

Sign here! and you two devils can jump off of this mountain!!

I said, "Screw it..I carried this stuff up, where do I sign?"
Chris said,"Which way did he go, George?"
so I got ready...
and readier...

all I had to do was run as hard as I could...looking at this the whole way

I did it and managed to take these pics on the way down...very comfortable after the initial OMG Peefest! (Have I said FPO (future potential octomom) yet???)

Here are some pics on the way down...

Then Chris had to wait pretty much forever, until the winds were right...Deo Gratias I got off with a buff....

People even had to hold his sail up...they were like 'people viagra'...

Once off, it was magicand he flew like the wind...
doing acrobatics and the like..
until he landed!!
Ok for the rest of the trip we shopped...
saw puffter flowers and the world's greatest garden..

saw the back of Table Mountain

Rode in Coumbi's....
and recognized with the kids that this is indeed the land of...

Last dance Baby!!!

Table Mountain-Relatives-Cape of Good Hope-Old Relatives-Our Father and Food

We were on our own all morning as the kids had to work...so we headed up to the top of Table Mountain. Took a look down from the beginning of the tram up.

and a gander at the tram which has a circling floor inside so your stomach has about a 360 degree chance of landing in someone's lap.
Looking up and looking back the city is all over from up here.

Lucky for us we found a restaurant on the top..did I tell you that I gained 56 pounds on this trip and that is a lot of stones.

Views of Lions Head make it not quite as daunting as it seemed in the previous climb and make me think I could jump off that baby..hell I might even be able to step off of it.

Proof we made it to the top and and truth be known, I did not know those babies could talk, much less squeel.

The beaches a few miles from Sea Point and a look at the longest rappel...called abseiling or something like that.

From the bottom of the tram we caught a van cab down into town and talked to the driver, Lucky, about taking a trip one day down to the Cape of Good Hope. He said when? I said Now! and we set off, after negotiating a price, for the Cape. Got a look at the backside of Table Mountain on the way.

Visited some friends who remembered Tiffany from Christmas time. And stopped to occasionally feed the baboons.

Oopsadoodle...

Is it still called a piggy back ride.

Made it to the Cape of Good Hope and the obligatory mileage sign.

Planned the yearly Christmas card...oh yea we are about 38 years behind...

With Lisa and Chris we headed for Pater Noster but spent the first night in a different town call L something...we got the girly room.
with cool beach out the back door.
We had a mini ACC but I made the FPO take it easy (future potential Octomom)
Chris has taken to beating Lisa with various bits of seaweed.

Seems like just a short beach walk but these too not so youngins anymore, are on an adventure building memories, fulfilling dreams and pretty much having a positive impact on everyone privileged to meet them....

ok cept maybe Dane..(see car photos)

Chris contemplates the past, the present and the future...after asking me to take these shots for future Paleontologist, Griffin.

while Lisa wonders whether it will take a seven or a nine iron to knock this Weaver off of her nest.
Another great B&B on the beach and then a 10 course meal on the beach at

DIE STRANDLOPER..Would be a great place for Thanksgiving...a wedding was going on...but you have to like fish.

Two Local Assholes before

and after (that's the name of the drink!)

Food was great as was the decor!!

Loved the mussels..

the weather rock

the bar

the company..
and the final last course!!! Chris and I dipped in for a couple.

Great multi hour lunch!!!

We then stopped at a beach where I took a bunch of beach shots for Jerry's honey trying to get her mind off that Baboon

You have to be nuts to think you can time the waves and make it out to the last rock..

even nuttier to try.

Balboa was not so nimble...

Oopdsadoodle....that water is cold!!!

Try, try again..
Oh well...

Sad thing is 30 years ago I would have been the nutty one trying to get out there...

More for Diane..

Words of advice...which drove me straight to the wine cellers to work up some love.

Speaking of which, these guys showed us a lot of love, a great time and they send you all the same and invite you over for the same. Time it right and you can babysit!
